Player Etiquette

Here's a list of rules commonly enforced on Jedi Academy servers. Most of these are just common courtesy.

  • Laming - Rules against laming are common on enthusiast servers. Laming refers to attacking another player while their saber was not ignighted or while they were chatting, and this applies in duels as well. When you join a server, be sure to find out whether it enforces rules against laming before you attack unarmed players.

  • Spamming - In Jedi Academy, this refers to flooding the chat with messages, which can cause lag and interrupt other people's conversations.

  • Typing in ALL CAPS - In general on the internet, typing in all caps is considered the equivalent of shouting, and as such it should be avoided.

  • Padawan Names - Padawan is the default name that everyone starts with. Show some personality and change your name to something unique. You can do this by pressing Escape, going to Profile, and typing your name at the top, or using the \name command in the console.

  • Respect the administrator - Remember, you are a guest on their server.
